The Franklin County Payment Division was established December 16, 1994.
Since that time the Payment Division has worked closely with all units
within the department to increase compliance with Court Orders and
collection rates of both active and inactive cases. The Payment Division
consists of a supervisor and four (4) account clerks.
The main objective of the Payment Division is to establish and enforce
payment plans, balance and disburse all receipts, and maintain complete and
accurate accounting records for the collection of Court Ordered fines, costs
and restitution for Franklin County. This objective is accomplished by
using wage attachments, pre-contempt hearings, contempt hearings, payment
plans and aggressive enforcement practices.
